my wedding
My problem is that I get really busy. Then by the time I sit down to blog, I am so far behind I do not know where to start. So, how about I start with I am getting married this weekend? I know, I know. No notice whatsoever. Hopefully, we can all still be friends.

Anyway, since no one had notice, no one needs to feel guilty for not flying to Africa to attend. Although, I do wish that some of my good friends from America and my family could be at the wedding. Still do no worry; you guys will not be missing too much. I am having a party where we exchange vows, but the actual wedding will be Pulaar style. That means people sit around and eat while I have my hair braided. Perhaps we will do something American when we go back. I am pretty anti second weddings, but I need to have a celebration with my family and friends around.

That being said, mom, don’t worry my friend Chris is here staying with me. He is worrying about every little detail that does not matter and driving me slightly insane. Actually, perhaps you should worry; I think he has your job mastered.

Wow. Do you anticipate ever moving back to the US now? Will I have an exciting place to stay whenever I get around to visiting Africa? We'd all love to hear more of the story and your predictions for the future.

But more importantly: Congratulations. I hope that everything goes great and that you have an awesome marriage.

Leah, I'm so very happy and excited for you!!! I'm sad that I can't be there, but maybe I can get out to NM or where ever you end up when you come back to do an American celebration. Can't wait to see you again in all your marriedness and meet your husband. Have a good old fashioned hair braidin'.

And good luck to you both. I wish I could be there to see a Pulaar wedding. Keep in touch and you should post pictures! I hope I can meet him sometime soon, and see you again; it's been too long.

Best wishes,
Summer

So I forget to check your blog for a few days, and you drop this bombshell? I'm speechless! Still, I"m happy for you! I'd really love to know more about how this came to be--I didn't think you were the marry-on-the-field type! I hope you both will come back through NM at some point so we can properly celebrate!

I second the motion that you post lots of pictures--I know nothing about Pulaar-style weddings, but I'd love to learn!

Blessings on you, Leah, and on your new husband!
